Non-Surgical Facelift Treatments Recommended By Plastic Surgeons

Modern non-invasive facelift procedures are long-lasting, have minimal recovery time, and give the most natural results. Take a look at some of today’s non-surgical facelift treatments recommended by plastic surgeons:

1. Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are the answer to smoothing out the effects of premature ageing or providing subtle changes through facial contouring techniques. Fillers can be used to plump out lines and increase volume – commonly used on the cheeks, nose and mouth areas.

Popular fillers such as hyaluronic acid stimulate the body’s own natural production of collagen, providing an immediate result. Treatment is simple and safe with a series of micro-injections placed under the skin and the filler gently added. The process takes about 30 minutes and you can return to normal duties straight away.

2. Threadlifts

The one stitch facelift or thread lift procedure reaps all the benefits of revitalisation without the surgery. The completely absorbable threads are placed under the skin and then threaded from the hairline to the cheeks. Once in place, they’re tightened to pull up the excess skin, removing wrinkles and making skin look smoother.

After the application of a local anaesthetic, the procedure takes about 30-45 minutes to carry out. The effect is twofold as sagging skin is immediately lifted, and the second benefit acts in the deep tissue encouraging skin to regain its volume slowly and restoring the shape of the face naturally over the next few months.

3. Botox

Botox is the most commonly used non-surgical facelift treatment. It’s a neuro-modulator injected into the muscle which causes it to temporarily relax – the relaxed muscle cannot then contract to create wrinkles. Botox is used to effectively treat fine lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows, creases in the forehead, and crow’s feet around the eyes.

The procedure takes 24-72 hours to take effect following a treatment that takes just 15-20 minutes. A small amount of liquid is injected under the skin and used to smooth out the wrinkles.

4. Fat Transfer

Another option is fat transfer where fat is grafted from other areas of the body and reinjected into the face to help with the loss of volume. This procedure can be used to address laughter lines, lips, skin depressions, and concave cheeks.

One of the great benefits is the production of very natural looking results that are long-lasting. The body accepts the fat readily, reducing the risk of reaction or rejection. The only issue is with the time taken to obtain and prepare the fat beforehand, and the procedure can last for an hour or more.

5. Laser Treatments

When the correction of fine lines, scars, wrinkles, and blotches are done with the proper combination of skin care products and powerful light technology the results can be amazing. Laser skin resurfacing removes skin layer by layer with extreme precision.

A full-face treatment takes about two hours and after about a week your skin will dry and peel, followed by a full healing after about another 10 days.

6. Ultherapy

This non-surgical treatment involves ultrasound techniques to heat the targeted tissue area under the surface of the skin. This triggers the natural production of collagen and can be repeated every six to twelve months – the same time that collagen takes to develop.

It’s normal to need three treatments to get the greatest benefits from this procedure, and the length of the procedure will depend on the individual plan – a face and neck will take between an hour and 90 minutes.

“I am really happy”

I used to go to a different clinic which was much cheaper but I was never satisfied with the results. I always felt that the treatment was rushed. I wanted to try someone else and went to Doctor Q. He really listened to me and advised me on treatments that met my needs. I had Botox to 3 areas and filler around the mouth and nose. He is always available by phone or email for advice. I am really happy with the results.
