Do the dark spots on your skin bother you? Discover the world’s number one medical depigmentation treatment – Dermamelan®.
Skin hyperpigmentation results from over activity of the melanocytes resulting in over production of melanin, the pigment. This appears as dark patches and irregular skin tone causing negative psychological and emotional impact. This is a global and growing issue. It can be corrected by treatments that reduce melanocyte activity and therefore melanin production resulting in even skin tone. We offer Dermamelan which is an intensive corrective treatment for hyperpigmentation.
This is a professional medical treatment to reduce hyperpigmentation. The treatment reduces the production of melanin and removes existing dark spots peeling of the skin layer. Dermamelan inhibits tryrosinase activity and therefore stops melanin production. It does not damage the pigment cells meaning there is no risk of white spots appearing.
The treatment involves a CLINIC treatment and HOME treatment.
When you come for the consultation, your skin will be examined using a UV lamp. This shows the true extent of the hyperpigmentation. You will be given an oil removing solution to use for 2 days prior to the treatment.
On the treatment day, a mask containing high concentration of active ingredients will be applied to your face. You can then return home but will need to keep the mask on for 8-12 hours. It can then be washed off.
You will be given a mask to use twice a week for 2 weeks. You will also receive a Dermamelan treatment cream that you must use for 4 months.
The procedure has very little recovery time. We would recommend 1 day off work on the day of treatment only.
Hyperpigmentation occurs due to hyper stimulation of melanocytes. Once the skin tone is corrected the problem can recur if melanin production is aggravated again such as with sun exposure, sun bed use, pregnancy etc. For best results, it is advisable to keep using Dermamelan home cream once daily to keep the skin radiant. The use of sunscreen is also recommended daily especially if you have a pre-disposition to hyperpigmentation. As with any treatment, maintenance is needed to keep the problem away.
