Nose Reshaping

What is this and how can it help?

Dermal fillers can be used to carry out a non-surgical rhinoplasty. If there is a bump on the nose or of the nose is slightly deviated to one side, filler can be placed on the bone above the bump to disguise it. This was the side profile of the nose can be straightened. Filler can also be placed in the septal wall to lift the top of the nose. The side or width of the nose cannot be changed with fillers but the profile and tip can be manipulated to provide a good cosmetic result.

What are the benefits of non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Using dermal fillers to reshape the nose has many advantages. The procedure is easily reversible so if you do not like your new nose, it can be reverted back to its original shape within a couple of days. There is very minimal recovery time compared with surgery. The complication rates are much lower than surgery and the satisfaction rates are higher. It can be done within 30 minutes.

What are the side effects of non-surgical rhinoplasty?

The main side effects are redness, bruising, swelling and discomfort of having injections. Topical anaesthesia can be applied to reduce discomfort. Injections of the nasal bone are pretty safe. However, injections around the side of the nose have to be done very carefully as not to block any blood vessels.

If any vessel is blocked, it can lead to skin damage which can be serious. Therefore any injections to the side are done using a blunt cannula and only small amounts of filler is injection to avoid any compression.

What is the downtime with non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Up to 1 week for the redness, bruising and swelling to resolve.

How long do the results from non-surgical rhinoplasty last?

Usually 6-9 months.

How much does non-surgical rhinoplasty cost?

Treatment costs £375.

Non-surgical vs. Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty has many advantages over surgery. Mainly the fast result, minimal downtime, lower cost, minimal discomfort and very few complications. However, if you need to resize your nose or change its width and shape completely then there is no alternative to surgery which will cost in the region of £4k-£6k.
